2022 marks the 20th Anniversary of Carus Summer Science Camp. To celebrate this special milestone, Carus hosted a commemorative t-shirt design contest for camper-aged students in the area.
Congratulations to the winner of the 2022 t-shirt design contest – Sara from Mrs. Moreno’s 5th grade class at Peru Catholic School! Sara’s t-shirt concept features science-themed design elements like a rocket, planet, light bulb, and a beaker. Her design also includes a banner honoring the 20th Anniversary of the camp.
Carus presented Sara with a certificate of excellence for her winning design, and hosted an end of year pizza party to celebrate. Students from Mrs. Moreno’s class enjoyed pizza, juice, dessert, and a special Carus themed gift.
Registration for the 2022 Carus Summer Science Camp is now open. The annual week-long camp will be held July 18th to 22nd at St. Bede Academy in Peru. The event will run from 9 am to noon each day, and the camp is free of charge. Carus Summer Science Camp focuses on developing in-demand STEM skills and is open to students entering 6th grade in the fall.
