Andy brings over 30 years of global experience in the chemical industry. Prior to joining Carus in 2020, he served as Group Vice President, Composites of Ashland LLC (NYSE:ASH) where he led the business to record sales and EBITDA growth. During his twenty-five-year tenure at Ashland, he led multiple businesses and developed and executed numerous strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions, global expansion, and innovation pipeline management. Prior to that, Andy spent nine years at ICI PLC in the United Kingdom and the US, where he served in a variety of technology and business leadership positions. Andy is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland where he earned a degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry. He also holds an MBA from The Ohio State University.
Chryss joined Carus in May 2019 as CFO, bringing extensive experience in managing both privately held and publicly traded organizations. She held the role of Acting CEO from February 2020 through September 2020. Chryss has served in roles such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and ultimately served as President of Armstrong Aerospace, a division of Astronics Corporation, a publicly traded company. In these various roles, Chryss was responsible for overall company performance, financial operations, and strategic sourcing. Chryss began her career in Public Accounting with clients in the manufacturing, distribution and real estate sectors for mid-sized private and public entities. She left to take roles in Corporate Reporting/SOX compliance of publicly traded companies, as well as managing large, privately held family enterprises. Chryss is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. She belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Certified Public Accountants Society. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Allen brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the chemical industry, with demonstrated success in driving strategy, innovation, and execution. Prior to joining Carus in 2018, Allen served as Vice President of Operations for C.I. Thornburg, serving customers in the municipal water and wastewater industry. In more than a decade as a C.I. Thornburg Vice President, Allen directed key strategic projects resulting in reductions in safety incidents and implementation of NACD Responsible Distribution. Prior to joining C.I. Thornburg, Allen held leadership roles at Supresta and AkzoNobel. Allen is a member of AIChE, the world's leading organization for chemical engineers, and he also belongs to the American Water Works Association. Allen holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.
Lyndsay joined Carus in October 2020 as Vice President of Human Resources, bringing over 16 years of global human resource experience across various industries, with most of her career being in the chemical space. Lyndsay has extensive expertise in managing workforce talent and developing organizational solutions that align people strategies to business initiatives. Prior to joining Carus, Lyndsay was the Vice President of Human Resources for INEOS Composites, where she was responsible for the human resource function of a $1 billion dollar business located in 17 countries. Before joining INEOS Composites, Lyndsay spent 13 years with Ashland LLC in varying human resource functions. Her last role was as the Global Human Resource Leader for Ashland Performance Materials, which consisted of the Composites and Intermediates and Solvents businesses. Lyndsay holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from West Chester University and an M.B.A from Franklin University.
Dan has more than 30 years of legal experience in a diverse group of industries with significant expertise in commercial transactions, litigation, compliance, government relations, intellectual property, and employment matters. Prior to joining Carus in 2020, Dan served as General Counsel for GEA Farm Technologies, Inc. where he managed the legal activities of the North American milking and dairy farming business. He previously served as Assistant General Counsel at CTS Corporation and in various roles at Canon Solutions America, Inc. and Spiegel Holdings, Inc. Dan served as a director on the global board of the Association of Corporate Counsel based in Washington D.C., the largest bar association for in-house counsel in the world with 45,000 members across the globe. Dan also served as an officer, including President, and board member of the Chicago chapter of the ACC. Dan is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and frequent speaker on legal and compliance issues. He has been involved in several educational and mentoring programs, including Street Law, the ACC Summer Diversity Internship Program, and the Chicago Legal Prep Charter Academy. Dan completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at Villanova University and earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University college of Law.
