Carus Hosts Its Second “Fill the Backpack” Challenge

The start of the school year can be a stressful time for any family, but for some, buying school supplies can cause a financial burden. Parents shouldn’t have to choose between buying school supplies and putting food on the table. At Carus, we want to make sure our local students feel prepared to succeed, which is why for the second year in a row,  we have hosted a school supply drive where employees donated supplies for our local community. Our employees rose to the challenge, and Carus matched their donations! This year, having seen the Illinois Valley YMCA‘s Fill the Backpack Summer Camp School Supply Drive’s call for help, we decided to donate to their cause! Supporting educational and youth enrichment initiatives in our local communities is something we are passionate about, so we are honored to partner with another community organization who shares that same passion!
