Carus and the broader market continue to experience escalating cost pressures in the production and supply of specialty blended phosphates that deliver both high quality and performance.
We are now facing additional raw material cost increases from key suppliers, driven by:
- Sustained increases in phosphoric acid costs, directly linked to rising global sulfur pricing, a critical upstream input
- Ongoing geopolitical instability, impacting supply availability, energy markets, and logistics
- Continued volatility across the phosphate value chain, with further supplier increases expected in the near term
Despite our ongoing efforts to mitigate these impacts internally, the magnitude and pace of these increases require us to take further action.
The extent of our phosphate price adjustments will vary based on packaging, specific phosphate blends, and product requirements, and will be applied as permitted under existing contractual agreements.
Our phosphate products will have the below price adjustments.
- $0.25/lb increase on all phosphate 5-gallon pail packaging
- $0.10/lb increase on all other phosphate products
Additionally, the below commodities will have price adjustments.
- $0.23/lb increase on hydrofluorosilicic acid (HFS)
- $0.05/lb increase on sodium hypochlorite (bleach), hydrochloric acid (HCL), and sodium bisulfite
This increase will apply to all orders shipped on or after July 20th, 2026.
Carus will continue to actively manage costs and pursue all available opportunities to minimize further increases where possible; however, continued upward pressure on raw materials remains likely.
