This presentation will cover the chemistry behind how polyphosphates sequester iron, manganese, and total hardness in a drinking water distribution system.  Application rates for polyphosphate based on water quality will be discussed along with case studies from several municipalities using sequestering.  Methods for testing polyphosphate will be discussed along with safe handling and feed systems.
