A modernized development in the stabilization of soils, specifically in contaminated media has finally emerged. ISGS® is In-Situ Geochemical Stabilization and it is unique blend of binding agents and sodium permanganate that interact with DNAPL and the soil matrix to form a stable mineral precipitate. The ISGS® amendment catalyzes the formation of a stable manganese crystal structure in-situ that surrounds and encapsulates DNAPL. This encapsulation process and binding of pore volume directly results in significant max flux reductions of NAPL.
